As a Registered Psychologist, I have extensive training that helps me recognize effective ways to help people with life’s challenges. I use my knowledge, training and experience in psychology to help my clients understand how unique biological, psychological and social factors interact in their lives, and how each of these factors can be addressed to help promote sustainable change.
Using techniques such as art therapy, play therapy, mind-body awareness and talk therapy, I assist adults, children, youth and families overcome a wide range of challenges. Together, we identify counselling goals and then work to achieve those goals in a strengths-based, non-judgmental and empathetic manner. Keeping in mind the unique needs of each client, I individually tailor my approach to ensure that I create an atmosphere that is warm, safe and inviting. In that atmosphere, I work alongside my clients to help them create meaningful, sustainable change in their lives and relationships.

Some common challenges that I address with clients are:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Trauma
  • Grief/Loss
  • Parenting

  • Self-Esteem
  • Identity Challenges
  • Challenging Family Dynamics
  • Relationship Issues
  • Challenges Related to Disability

“When I see a tree, I see a symbol of growth, strength and stability
that reflects my beliefs about people.”

A tree needs a strong root system to provide nourishment for healthy growth in the same way that people need a solid foundation of values and beliefs to grow and create fulfilling lives for themselves. A tree develops a strong trunk by adding new layers and growing sturdier each year in the same way that people take on new roles and add layers to their identity as they move through life. A tree has branches that continue to grow and reach towards the sun in the same way that people continue to grow and reach towards their goals and dreams. A tree is hardy and changes its way of growing to adapt to stress in its environment in the same way that people are resilient and can change and adapt to circumstances that are beyond their control.
